The problem

Case picking is the hardest job to keep filled

Selecting full cases is heavy and repetitive work. It is usually an entry-level position and the first job people leave. Turnover runs high enough that a good share of the crew on any given night is still learning the building.

That shows up in the numbers. Rate drops over the course of a shift. Newer selectors build worse pallets, and a bad pallet costs you at the dock and again at the store. Back and shoulder injuries come out of this job more than most.

ProPick picks at the same rate on hour eight as on hour one. It does not call in, it does not need overtime, and it does not get hurt lifting.

How it fits in

It drops into the building you already have

ProPick works your existing aisles and your existing racking, alongside the people and equipment already in them. There is no conveyor to install, no racking to move, and no reason to rebuild the layout around it.

The load plan is worked out before the robot moves: a position and orientation for every case on the pallet. ProPick picks in the sequence that plan calls for and sets each case exactly where it belongs, so the finished pallet stacks square and travels well. Then it wraps the load on board and takes it to the dock.

How it works

One pass down the aisle

  1. Takes the order

    The order comes from your warehouse management system. ProPick works out the load plan first — where every case will sit on the pallet, and the sequence to pick them in.

  2. Works the aisle

    It navigates the existing aisles on its own, around the people and equipment already working there.

  3. Picks and stacks

    Each case has an X, Y and Z position with A, B and C rotation already assigned. ProPick picks it at the rack and sets it down on exactly that spot, in that orientation.

  4. Wraps and delivers

    The finished pallet is stretch wrapped on board and delivered to the dock, ready to load.

The individual components aren't new

Every subsystem on ProPick has a counterpart somewhere in the industry. Mobile robots, palletizers, and stretch wrappers all exist on their own.

The unique part of ProPick is putting them on one machine and coordinating them tightly enough to run an aisle unattended, next to people, for a whole shift. The mechanical design that lets one machine do it all in an aisle-width footprint, and the software that keeps those systems in step, is the secret sauce that makes ProPick work.
