A quality system is only worth something if it produces evidence. Here that is a ballooned drawing and a dimensional report with every lot: inspected by hand, recorded in our own software.

Ballooned drawings and a report that matches them
How much gets inspected depends on the job. A first article is done to the AS9102 format: every dimension ballooned, every balloon measured and recorded.
Simpler parts, and parts that arrive without a full drawing, get their critical dimensions instead. Those are ballooned too, so the report always ties back to your print.
Inspection is by hand, but nothing is typed in. Our calipers and micrometers have a SPC output, so each reading goes straight from the instrument into the record.

Ten years of job history, on one system
Quoting, job travelers, material traceability, ballooning and inspection reporting all live in one quality management package, built here for this shop. Its real job is records control: making sure what was measured, on which machine, by whom, is written down and stays findable.
Job records are kept for ten years. That covers the traveler, the material certification, the inspection report, the machine the parts ran on and who ran them.
It matters when a part comes back from the field years later, or a customer has to prove provenance on something built long after the purchase order was closed. Ask about a job from six years ago and you get the file.

What is documented
Documented quality system
Written procedures covering quoting, planning, material receipt, in-process control, final inspection, nonconformance and corrective action.
Material traceability
Traceable from the mill certification through to the parts in the box. Certifications ship with the order on request, and are retained either way.
Calibration control
Every measuring instrument is on a calibration schedule and calibrated by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Calibration records travel with a job when your contract asks.
In-process control
On-machine probing checks work offsets and critical features while the part is still on the table, so drift is caught during the run rather than at the end of it.
Nonconformance
Anything out of tolerance is contained, recorded and reported to you before it ships. No material review board authority is assumed on your behalf.
Working to your system
Your travelers, your inspection requirements and your source inspection can all be followed. Subcontract work runs alongside our system, not instead of it: every job is tracked internally either way, and your paperwork is done on top of that.
Cybersecurity and materials compliance
A NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity compliance program is in place for handling and storing customer technical data. If your contract flows down controlled unclassified information requirements, ask and we will walk through the specifics with you.
RoHS and REACH compliant processing is available on request. Say so at quote time so material and finishing get sourced accordingly.
This shop does not hold AS9100 or ISO 9001 registration, is not registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, and does not operate a coordinate measuring machine. Working to the AS9102 format for first article inspection is a reporting practice, not a registration, and is not claimed as one.
